A Point Below × The Sacred Table
An invitation to return to your senses.
March 12–17, 2027 · Costa Rica
The Residency
Six days and five nights for women to gather in Guanacaste, near Tamarindo, guided by movement, nature, nourishment, and the quiet intelligence of the senses.
This is an invitation to experience life a little more fully. To move with intention, notice what is present, and reconnect with the quiet intelligence of the body. Over six days on Costa Rica's Pacific coast, movement, nature, ritual, and nourishment come together to create space for a deeper kind of presence.
The residency is not an escape from everyday life. It is a way of returning to it with more awareness. The nearest international airport is Liberia International Airport (LIR).
The Philosophy
Presence lives in the ordinary.
The warmth of sunlight on skin. The scent of something cooking. Earth beneath bare feet. A meal passed from hand to hand. These are small moments, and they are often the ones that bring us most fully into the present.
This residency is not an escape from everyday life. It is a way of returning to it with more awareness, more appetite, and a deeper relationship with the body, with nourishment, and with one another.
The Five Elements
One element, each day.
Each day is guided by an element, inviting us to experience the world through a different lens. Through movement, ritual, shared meals, and the natural environment, we explore the ways our senses bring us back into the present moment.
I
Earth
Grounding and Presence
We begin by arriving. Bare feet on soil, slow mornings, and a body allowed to settle. The table follows: rooted vegetables, grains, and the steady comfort of food that holds you in place.
II
Fire
Courage and Transformation
Heat asks something of us. Through the temazcal, the sun, and movement that builds warmth, we meet what is ready to change. Meals carry spice, char, and the quiet alchemy of the flame.
III
Water
Fluidity and Intuition
The ocean sets the pace. We soften, float, and follow instinct over instruction. Fruit, broths, and cooling flavors keep the body hydrated and open.
IV
Air
Breath and Expansion
Attention turns to breath and to space. Breathwork, open sky, and lighter movement create room to listen. Food becomes bright, crisp, and generous with herbs.
V
Ether
Connection and Integration
The final day gathers everything together. Sound, stillness, and shared reflection help the week find its meaning, closing around a ceremonial meal shared by everyone at the table.
What Defines This Experience
Exploration, balanced with rest.
Elemental Days
Movement, nourishment, rituals, and space shaped around a single element. Each day offers a different rhythm, atmosphere, and sensory experience.
Temazcal Ceremony
A traditional sweat lodge ceremony guided by local Costa Rican facilitators. An experience of heat, breath, earth, and release.
A Culinary Experience Rooted in the Elements
Thoughtfully prepared meals inspired by the day's element, local ingredients, and the sensory experience of eating. Food becomes an invitation to slow down, gather, and reconnect.
Sensory Practices Woven Throughout
Ocean immersions, meditation, sound journeys, crystal bowls, grounding rituals, slow mornings, and intuitive movement.
Nourishment as Ritual
Food as a way back to ourselves.
At The Sacred Table, nourishment is about more than what is on the plate. It is the experience of slowing down, gathering together, and allowing food to become another way of connecting with ourselves and the world around us.
Throughout the residency, meals will be thoughtfully prepared by Jillian, founder of The Sacred Table, drawing inspiration from Costa Rica's ingredients, the surrounding landscape, and the element guiding each day.
Some meals will feel grounding and comforting. Others will be bright, refreshing, warming, or playful. Each one is an invitation to notice the colors, textures, aromas, and flavors that make eating such a deeply sensory experience.
Around the table, there is room for conversation, connection, curiosity, and the simple pleasure of being nourished.
Seasonal ingredients. Element inspired menus. Shared moments around the table.
Who This Is For
For the women who feel called toward a deeper experience of presence.
Who find meaning in movement, nature, and the moments that ask us to slow down and pay attention.
This is a space to arrive as you are, without the need to perform, impress, or explain. To share experiences with others while having room to move at your own pace.
The residency is intentionally intimate, allowing space for meaningful connection, shared experience, and individual reflection.
